Tens state and public organizations dealing with control in winemaking sphere, it is more than 1 thousand persons. With them we also struggle for introduction in Ukraine, for example of vodka and cognac, the minimum retail prices for winemaking production. The minimum price on the one hand urged to protect the legal manufacturer who is working under all standards and responsible for quality of production, and on the other hand - will allow the consumer to define what the goods are on a shelf. If price is below minimum, means that not only taxes are not paid, but also that quality of contents of such bottle poses real threat to health of consumers. Since July, 1st of this year the excise on spirit is raised. Therefore it is necessary to raise the prices and for alcoholic beverage production, differently the substitute can flood counters », - he has told. ![]() Anatoly Kogan considers that introduction of minimum prices for wine would be very correct decision. «Opponents of introduction of minimum prices for wine say that it is not market method. Probably, they right. But to rescue economy during such serious crisis with market methods is impossible. In present conditions conducting minimum prices concerning wines is a measure of the first necessity which will help to struggle with domination unfairly cheap falsification. The bottle of wine cannot cost 5 hrn. This money will suffice only for payment of the duty, a label and a bottle. Some dishonest manufacturers write not wine, but wine drink on a label. Or offer the consumer so-called "second", "third" wines when 3-4 liters of wine are made from one liter wine material and water. Cheap wines, as a rule, is strong. A classical example is "Port". Make it within 2-3 days from press fractions (grapes oil cakes), sugar and spirit. ![]() Anatoly Kogan has noticed that in Ukraine for 1 quarter 2009 vodka manufacture has increased for 33 %. «For January - June, 2009 in the state budget from licensing of manufacture of spirit, alcoholic drinks and tobacco products, and also from export, import and wholesale trade of spirit, wholesale and retail trade in alcoholic drinks and tobacco products has arrived for the 355,6 million hrn. In Ukraine for 1 quarter 2009 vodka manufacture has increased by 33 % - to $12,4 million», - he has told. ![]() According to Anatoly Kogan, the opinion of domestic wine makers concerning the minimum cost of wine was divided. «Corporation "Alef" together with “The First National Winemaking Holding”, company "Khortytsa ", and also other manufacturers of wines insist on acceptance of the initiative of the Ministry of Economics of Ukraine according to the minimum retail price for wine in glass bottle in capacity 0,7 liters will be not less than 13 hrn. This is minimum when subtract all production costs. But there are also who insist on an establishment of the minimum retail price at a rate of 9-10 hryvnias. In our opinion, such step only will legalise manufacture of bad quality wine drinks. On such way it is impossible to go», - he has told. ![]()
